Acceptable Use Policy
Community conduct standards, anti-discrimination rules, and platform integrity policies across HOMES by ASB.
1. Community Purpose & Principles
HOMES by ASB was created to eliminate unfair housing discrimination, moral policing, and broker exploitation in Indian urban rentals.
All participants—whether owners, tenants, or visitors—are expected to interact with mutual respect, honesty, and dignity.
2. Zero-Tolerance Discrimination
The following discriminatory practices are strictly prohibited across our platform:
- Refusing to rent or imposing discriminatory charges based on dietary habits (e.g. non-vegetarian food).
- Denying tenancy or evicting residents solely based on bachelor status, gender, marital status, religion, caste, or regional origin.
- Imposing arbitrary curfews, unauthorized entry, or moral policing on adult residents.
3. Fraudulent & Misleading Listings
Users must not:
- Upload fake, stock, or heavily altered property photos that do not accurately represent the real condition of the rental unit.
- Quote deceptive rental pricing with hidden mandatory surcharges.
- List properties they do not own or are not legally authorized to rent out.
- Request off-platform cash deposits without written digital agreements.
4. Messaging & Communication Standards
When utilizing in-app chat, inquiry forms, or booking communications:
- Do not send abusive, profane, defamatory, harassing, or sexually explicit content.
- Do not transmit spam, unsolicited commercial offers, or pyramid schemes.
- Do not impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity.
5. Technical Abuse & Bot Scraping
Users must not:
- Scrape, index, or harvest listings, contact numbers, or photos via automated scrapers, bots, or scripts without prior written consent.
- Attempt to probe, scan, or breach the security or authentication measures of the platform.
- Interfere with or disrupt the normal operation of our servers, databases, or API infrastructure.
6. Reporting Violations & Enforcement
Violations of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in formal warnings, listing removal, permanent account suspension, and blacklisting from future platform use.
